Merry Christmas

The Christmas season is even more exciting for us this year with two little ones now. The house is decorated and Mia is being such a good girl about not ripping the tree down. She even made an ornament in her mother's morning out program today and picked out a special spot on the tree for it.

We took both of the kids to the zoo to see the Lights Before Christmas with some friends. Mia and Harrison were little angels even though both had not napped well today and it was their bedtime. They enjoyed the lights and the weather was absolutely perfect. (The pictures are out of focus because I am not the best photographer, but you get the idea how much we enjoyed it.)

The weekend will be busy and filled with Christmas activities and visiting family. Clay and I are really enjoying this holiday season. Having children truly does make it even more special for us.

The annual trip to the mall to visit Santa was yesterday. Harrison looks a lot like Mia did in her first Santa picture and Mia, well, she was terrified of him again this year.

From our family to yours, Merry Christmas!!

Happy Halloween!

Mia had a great time trick-or-treating for the first time. Even though she was too shy to say "trick or treat" to anyone, she still got too much candy. The suckers are her favorites.

Harrison is 4 months!

Wow, it's hard to believe that 4 months has already passed. Harrison is growing so fast that he is already the size of the average 7-month old! He now weighs 16 pounds 2 ounces and is measuring 27 inches long. He is rolling over now and is quite the talker with all of his baby babble. I love to hear it. He is teething so we are expecting that first tooth to pop up some time soon. He makes me smile everyday with the way he smiles with his entire face, and sometimes, his entire body. He is completely captivated by his sister Mia and he loves to watch her, talk to her and smile at her. They are both a joy to be around.

A little video

Just a few pics from the weekend and a little video I took this morning of Harrison. The "monkey" you hear in the background is Miss Mia. She was trying to make Harrison laugh.

Checking in....

Hi there, my name is Cindy. Remember me? :)

Thought I would stop by for an update. Mia is busy as ever for a 2-year-old. We took her to the Georgia Aquarium for her birthday and she had a blast. I think she was more intrigued with staying in a hotel room than she was with the actual aquarium. I recently started taking Mia to My Gym once a week and she loves it. She has so much fun jumping and literally climbing the walls. I think it's been good for her. We have a lot of fun there together. Her 2-year checkup confirmed that she is a healthy little girl. She is long and lean weighing 27 pounds and measuring over 35 inches tall.

Harrison is growing like a weed. At his 2-month check-up this past Monday he weighed 13 lbs. 9.5 oz. and measures 24 3/4" inches long. He looks every inch of that too. He's so long! He is breastfeeding well and sleeping even better. He is sleeping very long stretches at night. For example, I put him down at 9:00 last night and he slept until 5:30 this morning. It's nice for mommy to get more sleep at night. I don't know how I got so lucky to get 2 terrific kids like Mia and Harrison.

The weather as been more mild this week and not so hot. I hope the trend continues. I am anxious to get back into walking. I have lost 31 of the 43 pounds I gained with this last pregnancy, but I am ready to be rid of it all and feel more energetic. :)

Happy Birthday, Mia!!!

Mia had a wonderful Birthday weekend. On Saturday she had a birthday party where she had many visitors and received a ton of gifts. On Sunday she traveled to Atlanta, Georgia and stayed in a hotel for the first time ever! On Monday, her actual birthday, Mia visited the largest Aquarium in the world. Needless to say she had quite the action and fun filled Birthday weekend. Mia is now officially 2 years old, and growing up so fast.

Without further ado... here are some pictures of the party:
